Kleen Tek Solutions is a business brainchild of the Late Sh. Somesh Yadav who set the foundation of the brand back in November 2002. Monika succeeded her late husband by synchronizing her two decades of experience and a strong purpose of taking Kleen Tek Solutions to the greater heights in the facility management and housekeeping industry. Today, Monika has been acing the game with her undivided attention towards the core of success, the “one team” which includes a trained and motivated manpower.
While answering our question, “What motivates you?” the seasoned leader, philanthropist, life coach, and a true representation of a majority of the working woman, Monika replied, “My family motivates me the most.” The CEO Magazine, in an exclusive interview with the leader crafting her own success stories fiercely in a man-dominated industry, Monika unveiled various aspects of her story and Kleen Tek Solutions’ current operations:
TCM: What is the change you are bringing with your brand today? How did you differentiate your brand from the competition?
Monika: Kleen Tek Solutions has been ascending through the growth graphs extending a client-centric service portfolio tailored to meet their distinct requirements rooting from the residential, commercial, and corporate sectors.
Ranging from professional housekeeping, support services, outsourcing services to other facility management services, the brand leads with its agility to adapt to the requirement and provide the best industry services by implementing the latest software, tools, and technology.

TCM: In the journey, did you deal with the challenge of acceptance? If not, what were the other challenges you overcame?
Monika: Challenges and success go hand-in-hand on a professional journey. With an open mindset and education, the acceptance of women leaders is improving in this industry. I believe the most important thing is to focus on the target, make plans, and execute them wisely. In this journey, you are bound to make mistakes, choose to learn from them and keep improving till the task is completed.
While 3 P’s of people, process, and product are the strongest pillars for an organisation to overcome any challenge, I truly emphasize on adoption of three values of communication, trust, and honesty to be followed with the team and clients.
TCM: What are the mistakes you wish you could’ve avoided as an entrepreneur?
Monika: One of the key lessons I learned as an entrepreneur and learned from especially during the pandemic was making big plans and timelines without undertaking the risk of unseen factors.
After facing the unprecedented Covid-19 virus pandemic in the year 2020 we comprehend that a small plan/timeline is the practical and profitable path to reach our milestones.
TCM: How did you build your team?
Monika: I nurtured the Kleen Tek Solutions team by giving small goals and coached them to meet these goals with little guidance allowing them to inherit confidence in their decisions.
Also offering them the freedom to present new ideas, plan and execute, they fail at times but learn from failure and don’t repeat the mistakes. Continuous learning and developing skills is the key to team building. Team reward and recognition is very important to boost morale.
TCM: What are the activities that allow you to keep your team motivated?
Monika: As a team, we feel, communication is the most important skill. We encourage our team members to work and achieve their accomplishments and to motivate them, we do indulge in celebrations of some of the important days in our journey to reach our purpose. Kleen Tek Solutions team bonds over the celebrations of Founders day, national festivals, client success, birthdays, festivals etc.
TCM: How did you handle adversity and doubt?
Monika: A leader in-charge of an emerging company is set to face and overcome the demons of adversity and doubt. However, each leader has their techniques, I believe in the mantra, “Be ready for unknown situations and challenges”. Sometimes, we face a situation which is not planned and can cause adversity, my plan of action includes all hands on deck offering our best efforts.
TCM: How do you plan on growing your business in the upcoming years?
Monika: In the upcoming years, we aim to capitalise and grow more with a clear focus on client-centric services including customer relations, swift responsiveness along with the strategic focus on leadership, management and planning. Our focus will also be on our people including our personnel and staff’s learning and development.
The Kleenex operations, processes and work along the core of our finances like assets, facilities, equipment are important areas that will be assisted with updated solutions to cater to a better experience for our valued clients. Besides, a major part of the journey forward would be growth using automation, adopting an agile way of working, robotic cleaning, green material usage and going global.
TCM: What does success look like in the current role and for the company?
Monika: For me, the number of delighted clients overpowers monetary numbers. My definition of success is happy clients and motivated team. As a leader at Kleen Tek Solutions, a motivated team represents our strong foundation of values instilled deeply that focuses on achieving a purpose bigger than ourselves.
TCM: What are the questions you ask after each breakthrough?
Monika: Moving ahead in a dynamic industry like ours and working with some of the trailblazing professionals in the industry, we often witness breakthroughs. At such points, as a continuously growing brand with proactive thinking to cater best solutions, I usually find myself having two important questions in my mind i.e. How can we improve further? Am I giving my best?
TCM: If you were to answer a young female executive’s question of ‘How can I be a good leader?’, what would you advise?
Monika: India, being one of the youngest countries in the world, is home to significant potential. My advice to a young leaders-in-making would be to be confident in what you do, make small goals, enjoy your failure as there is an opportunity to improve and learn and feel gratitude for success.
TCM: Do you believe in giving back to society, if yes, how?
Monika: Yes, I strongly believe in giving back to society. I am a robust supporter of the cliché and famous saying ‘sharing is caring’. We, at Kleen Tek Solutions, work in the same direction of turning the vision into actions. With our designated CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) program, we are currently extending a helping hand to orphan kids by sponsoring their educational requirement in association with an NGO.
