A DARK PAYOFF FROM BUSINESS PERFECTION- DEPRESSION

Running a fruitful company demands extremely self-motivated businessman and his ability to wear multiple hats throughout each day. Although the payoffs of entrepreneurship can be huge, from business touching new heights, yet the real price is paid by entrepreneurs by disregarding health concerns which add to a lot of stress.

People find a businessman’s life glamorous and king-size. Setting your schedule, implementing your own rules, hassle-free work, flexible working hours can be incredibly alluring and inviting. They are idolized as role models. However, being an entrepreneur is not worth the candle. These determined figures may be fighting an internal battle within.

Thanking some genius minds of our society, a person suffering from depression is gazed by us as a mental retard. Depression, it comes in many forms and under the veil of embarrassment making it difficult to talk about on a broader platform. Depression can come in any form; it doesn’t always connect with sadness, the choices, working schedule, demand to perform better than the rest, replacing their self-worth with company’s net worth and the longing to stand out from the crowd can place a tariff on the psychological well-being of entrepreneurs at a higher risk rate.

It seeps into our lives slowly and silently

Depression doesn’t knock your door before infiltrating into one’s life. The mantra “time is money” has lost its true meaning in today’s era. In a certain degree, businessmen work such long hours that they devote minimal time to sleep, leisure, exercise, and other activities that help in warding off depression. The main symptoms associated with depression include social isolation, disturbed sleep, agitation, overthinking, constant weight changes and much more. Mistaking these signs with stress, we let depression overcome us and the situation gets worse.

This internal demon can take away your life!!

Battling with emotional distress, loneliness and thoughts of harming oneself may also lead to giving up on your life with suicidal thoughts. We all are familiar with the list of famous people ending up their lives miserably. That urge of extreme fame, fortune, and success don’t safeguard anyone from mental health issues. Failures in business which results in losing their identity, monetary issues, hectic schedule and travel, constantly worrying about business turn down one’s thoughts very dark, making you easy prey to pull out your life.

Turn down depression before it eats you- A proactive approach

It’s important to reconsider the key to happiness in one’s life.

Emotional difficulties aren’t a sign of weakness or mental issues. Rather it denotes that the entrepreneurial lifestyle often lends itself to reduced resilience against mental health issues. Take a proactive approach to prevent emotional problems when you can. Spend more time and energy chasing and maintaining good health. Do what makes you happy and fall in love with yourself once again.

Doctors say that physical exercise is the most effective weapon while battling against depression. So, it’s high time to strap on a pair of running shoes, or the lawn tennis racket lying somewhere in your storeroom.

Spare time for your friends, family, pamper yourself. It takes nothing but can make you feel refreshed and happy once again. Enjoy the little moments of life. Capture the beautiful moments of life so you can relive them again anytime anywhere.

It’s important to attach your self-esteem with your accomplishments as it can whack away thoughts of worthlessness bubbling inside your mind.

Laugh LaughLaugh, as much as you can, it not only makes your thoughts positive, it makes you look younger a little longer than others.

Research has shown that formal practices of meditation and prayer can halve the risk of depression.

These tiny bundled daily life inclusions are enough to put your internal struggle at rest and making you understand your self-worth above professional performance.

For the entrepreneurs, we care.

WHO Initiative: 40 Seconds Against Suicide

Mental Health, a part of the health that is dedicated to psychological, emotional and social well being of a person and affects how one feels and acts. The human mind is designed to handle a specific level of stress, relate to others and make choices. Mental Health progresses through various stages of life from adolescence to childhood and later adulthood. However, one might experience numerous mental health problems throughout their lifetimes due to various factors such as biological, tough life experiences and family history of mental health problems. 10th October marks as the World Mental Health Day where the day is focused on ensuring awareness of mental health and its problems.

Mental health has always been a taboo in various societies, whereas many families try to avoid the topic as a whole. The mental health is affected due to various aspects of life including age, job profile and other issues. Depression and stress are the most common problems that are related to mental health whereas the “feeling of low” exists for longer durations of time than normal. Suicide is one of the most drastic outcomes of mental health problems.

“Every 40 seconds, someone loses their life to Suicide. Close to 800 000 people die by suicide every year. Furthermore, for each suicide, there are more than 20 suicide attempts. Suicides and suicide attempts have a ripple effect that impacts on families, friends, colleagues, communities and societies. Suicides are preventable. Much can be done to prevent suicide at the individual, community and national levels”- WHO

Why one may suicide?

Various mental disorders can cause a drastic step of intentionally ending one’s own life. Mental disorders like depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, personality disorders, anxiety disorders and substance abuse like alcoholism and use of Benzodiazepines can lead to suicide. While suicides are due to stress, or not feeling loved that accumulates for a long time that results in one impulsive action. There is no specific age for suicide; it can be caused due to bullying at school to financial difficulties in adult life.

Prevention- Know the Early Signs

Various times, the symptoms of suicide are very clear. People who might have the intention to end their life does comment on various occasions like “I wish I wasn’t here” or “Nothing Matters” which can gradually become more explicit and dangerous. Various other early warning signals are increased alcohol and drug use, aggressive behaviour, withdrawal from friends and family, dramatic mood swings and impulsive or reckless behaviour.

The suicidal behaviours call for a psychiatrist emergency that needs to be attended to as soon as possible. Once one has experienced the early signs and has made the intention of committing suicide, he/she might do certain things as a last step to the process. These actions should not be ignored if you are close to them and have been noticing these symptoms and signs in the behaviour:

Collecting and saving pills or buying a weapon

Giving away possessions

Tying up loose ends like organizing personal papers

Paying off debts and saying goodbye to friends and family.

Suicide as a Mental Health Threat

Previously WHO also addressed the problem on the eve of World Suicide Prevention Day, “the number of countries with national suicide prevention strategies has increased in the last five years, but the number of countries with strategies, at just 38, is far too few. More governments need to introduce proven interventions for reducing national suicide rates. These include:

Restricting access to means of suicide including drugs and weapons.

Implementing programmes among young people to build skills to cope with life stresses.

Early identification, management and follow-up of people at risk of suicide.

Working with media to ensure responsible reporting of suicide.

A day dedicated to “40 Seconds of Action”

The key factor which causes suicides is not being aware or not addressing the stress. The initiative taken by the WHO organization for the same is that World Mental Health Day 2019 is dedicated to ensuring that each and everyone suffering can have a better chance at life. Suicide is preventable, and it is time to step up as a community to ensure that this act is prevented as much as possible.

You can also do content marketing by writing articles on the given products by yourself or by outsourcing.

Work from home: – You don’t need to have a special degree to start affiliate; all you need is a basic knowledge, a laptop and the internet.

So, how to get started? How can you build a stable income through affiliate marketing? Below are the steps that will help you to build a passive income through affiliate marketing.

  1. Decide a business model

There are usually two types of business models for an affiliate website, a resource site and a review site.

The resource site- In this, the website has all the information about the product and the industry. These websites are updated every week or month to give the latest information to the customers. The content will talk about the industry, products and the latest launches.

A review site – This type of site shows the reviews about the product or services of a particular company. One of the major advantages of these sites is that before a customer makes a purchase, they usually check the rating and reviews from different sites and you don’t have to update the content regularly.

Choose your business model wisely.

  1. Select a niche

Once you have chosen a business model, it’s time for you to pick a niche. You need to select a niche which you like the most as you have to write or study about that product. It is also fine if you can pick a completely new category but make sure you get enough information about that.  Efforts you will put on your website is related to the niche you choose to work on.

  1. Find affiliate networks

Develop some strategies to increase traffic. Optimize your website with SEO, create backlinks and send emails so you can get free traffic or use Google ads, Fb and Instagram ads for better-targeted audience.

  1. Run ads

PPC or pay-per-click is the most important weapon in affiliate marketing. Having a good PPC ad can help you in increasing your commission from affiliate networks.

  • Must have in a PPC ad
  • A problem that the product will solve
  • Keywords through researching
  • A call to action button
  1. What you need to learn?

Without proper knowledge it is very hard for you to make a stable passive income. Provide value with your content and traffic will flow. You need to be very patient while doing affiliate marketing as the you will not be successful overnight. Learn about the niche and product you are going to promote and make the right strategy.

How to Optimize Your Site for Search Engines?

SERP or Search engine result pages are the Google page with a list of websites as a result to the query asked by the users by pressing the search button. Search engine optimization is the process that ensures that a WordPress or any other platform-based website ranks on the SERP with on-page and off-page optimization of the website. From improving the page speed to ensuring relevant content and various other aspects, SEO experts work with various aspects to ensure that there is a good website rank along with high page and domain authority. Building “authority” is regarded as a slow process that happens overtime.

However, brands with an online presence through their official website focus on ensuring ranking high on the SERP via SEO tactics that are a white hat in nature.

Understanding the HATS

Digital marketing and its branch of Search Engine Optimization is a form of marketing that is directed towards business ensuring that a brand’s official website to rank on number #1 position on the SERP(Search Engine Result Page).

However, the practices in this marketing are divided further into three types, first White-hat, second Black hat, and third Grey Hat. These three types of marketing practices have been pursued by different sections of digital marketers, while the white hat practices are the practices that are approved by Google and listed in Google’s Webmaster Guidelines, the other practices can get teh website penalized:

  • There is no good or bad in SEO, the SEO experts have however mentioned that practicing certain “White-hat” tactics to not only protect the website from being penalized by Google but also provide the website with the security so that once the update hits the platform, there are fewer chances that the website will suffer.
  • While the black hat activities are those which are not acceptable by Google and holds chances of the website getting banned or penalized by Google.
  • Grey hat is the ones that are acceptable by Google although they might not comply completely with the Webmasters.

Steps one can follow to optimize their site and rank on the SERP in 2019 include:

  • Know Your Queries Report: The query reports provide phrases that website is ranking high for. Visiting the Google Analytics> acquisition>search console>queries will help the marketers know how well they are ranking on certain phrases, the number of impressions on the phrases, the clicks on these phrases from the Google SERPs and how high website rank for the phrase or the average position of the file.
  • Choose the keywords you want to rank high on: Filtering through the results one should dig through the list, find phrases with the highest rankings and understand how the phrase is used on your website to ensure an improved page and indicate the relevance for the phrase. One should focus on the keywords that derive high traffic to the website and has high search volumes. One can use various platforms to find the Keyword difficulty that should be preferably low which makes them easier to rank on.
  • Competitors Analysis: It is essential to know why one is being outranked by the competitor websites online and understand the reasons. It can be the number of significant ranking factors including the referring domains, page authority and website authority.
  • Content Optimization: The key to ranking on top on SERP is via understanding the searchers intent and what he is focusing on while searching for a particular query. Why? Because Google focuses on that while displaying websites on SERP to establish relevancy. It is hence essential to align with the searchers intent to ensure a high ranking on the SERP. The content marketing strategy is one of the most essential parts of digital marketing as it focuses on creating relevant content with a content angle that hooks the user with the content (blog posts and landing pages online).

Extra Tip:

Backlinks Authority: Page authority is the rank of the website online and backlinks are a crucial part of it. Any link from web to a certain website is a backlinks for that website which ultimately builds the “authority” to the website. So it may not be exactly on-page optimization of your website but one can use the keywords from the research in the content used for building links online to ensure a good SERP ranking.

There are various ranking factors but the page authority is one of the most influential when it comes to affecting the ability to rank. Besides mastering the on-page optimization of the website by increasing the page load speed, proving a better user experience with a better interface and internal links, this on-page, and off-page SEO tactics can be used to ensure a high SEO ranking. Again, while hat SEO tactics are preferred because they are important, it is essential to focus on them to ensure long term sustenance and ranking.
