XpectRM – The Rural Leadership Summit

Xavier School of Rural Management (XSRM) in collaboration with the RM Alumni Committee of XUB will be hosting XpectRM- The RM Leadership Summit, that will witness countless discussions with the industry stalwarts on 14th November 2018.

XpectRM is one of its kind industry connect programme, which brings together some of the best thinkers in the field. In this evolving field of Rural Management, it is essential to discuss various ideas and concepts to develop a better understanding of complex problems faced today. This will act as a platform for the students to interact with experts and gain useful insights from them. The discussion will revolve around four sectors, namely Development Policy and Livelihood, Rural & Inclusive Finance, Rural Business Development & Marketing, and Social Business & Entrepreneurship. The first session of the summit, Development Policy and Livelihoods, will be graced by eminent industry veterans like Ratnesh Jha (Ex- Mangement Specialist, UNDP), Rajendra Narayan Mahapatra (Sr Programme Coordinator, Public Health Resource Network) and Jayesh K Jain (Senior Technical Assistance Advisor, Regional Director Asia, Opportunity International). The honorary speakers for the second session, Rural and Inclusive Finance, include Tanwi Kumari (Principal Specialist – South East Asia and South Asia, Accion), Phaneendra Doddapaneni (National Product Manager, IndusInd Bank) and Alok Pattanayak (KGFS Head – Odisha,  IFMR Rural Channels and Services). The third session, Social Business and Entrepreneurship, will see renowned personalities take the center stage. They include Charudutta Panigrahi (Mentor, FIDR), Pratyush K Panda (VP and Head-Corporate Citizenship, ACC Ltd), Tapan Kumar Das (Co-Founder VP, Youth4Jobs Foundation) and Anirban Gupta (President, Co-Founder, Director; Dhriiti – The Courage Within, Tamul Plates Marketing Pvt Ltd). The last session, Rural Business Development and Marketing comprises distinguished speakers like Ramesh C. Jena (Partner, MART), Rajshree (Zonal Head of East, Novo Nordisk India) and Aditi Nanda (Director, Incture Technologies).

XUB believes in offering a platform for quality discussions on emerging issues and trends. The university organises a plethora of superlative conclaves and leadership summits to ameliorate the students' learning experience. XpectRM is one such leadership summit aimed at providing an enriching interactive session with respect to Rural Management.
