Wicked China is a place that serves up Chinese fare but with dollops of unapologetic quirkiness. Think Vibrant, Fun, Irreverent, Unusual but above all- CHINESE! Wicked China embodies a vibe that is ‘alive’ & ‘exciting’ and every element of the restaurant is sure to delight you and make you smile, even giggle!

Spread over 2,000 square feet, this remarkably designed 90-seater restaurant is full of quirks which showcases China like you’ve never seen before! The interiors have a story to tell, right from the busy Chinese marketplace mural on the outer façade to the piece de resistance mural wall in the inside section which depicts Chinese kitsch at its best. Communist poster art & homespun “Wicked Truths” adorn the walls in a setting which adds to the anticipation of the experience you’re about to have. The outdoor area is bright & inviting with lots of natural light and woodwork. The seating is a mix of comfortable high chairs, sofas and bright chairs in contrasting colors. The bar is all about #WickedVibesOnly and adds to the stylish ambiance of the restaurant. The ceiling lampshades are inspired by Chinese hats & painted in bright teal adding to the vivacity of the space. Guests will also be pleasantly surprised with the unique installations within the restaurant that promise to be a visual treat.

“We set out to create an energetic, vibrant and cheeky space that rethinks the concept of a Chinese eatery, both in terms of food & drinks as well as design. While we do pay homage to quintessentially Chinese cuisine, we have also created one of the most extensive small plates or “Asian Tapas” selection that features over 40 types of Dim Sums, Baos, Cheung Fun and the likes. The space itself has been brought to life with the help of Chandan Mahimkar who designed the resto bar. He has given us a fabulous set of ideas and concepts that we are extremely happy to see brought to life in such spectacular fashion. The decor lends itself to an uber cool vibe so one can choose to dine in just for the food, enjoy some drinks and small plates from our bar or come rediscover ‘Shy Knees’ cuisine!”, says Rachel Goenka, CEO & Founder, The Chocolate Spoon Company Private Limited.

The menus lend themselves to interesting conversation starters with fake menus placed on all tables featuring dishes that we do not serve! Once you’ve been subjected to a touch of light humor and built up that appetite, their real chow makes an appearance. Chef Amit Bhatia, Director, Cuisine and Chef Gautam Samel, Executive Chef, Pune have curated a truly wicked menu with dishes like Wonton Nachos with Chicken & Citrus Cheese, Drunken Chicken Cigar Rolls, Wicked Filo Spring Rolls & Fried Prawns in Pandan Leaf to get you nibbling.

Think of something steamy and their extensive array of Dim Sums, Cheung Fun and Baos are up next-Three style Mushroom Dumplings with Truffle Oil, Grandma’s Chicken Soup Dumplings, Kra Pao Chicken Mince with Bird Eye Chilli & Thai Basil are a few dishes that you can’t miss.Their take on classics like Sweet & Sour chicken, Vegetable Manchurian, Singapore Prawns, Stir Fried Vegetables in Oyster sauce and Steamed John Dory in Sake Soya sauce are sure to delight the nostalgic palate.

And finally, happy endings are guaranteed with their specially curated desserts- Jasmine Tea & Dragon Fruit Mousse, Lemongrass Crème Brulee and the sinful Honey Noodles with Vanilla Ice Cream and a delicious Fried Ice Cream.

What’s chow without some hooch? Their beverage menu curated by Mixologist, Pranav Mody is all you need to have a wickedly good time! Signature and molecular cocktails like King Kong’s Banana, Yin & Yang with a Bang, Ho Lee Smokes & The Chinese Code will get your mojo on. We go by the saying, “Classics can’t be re-invented” so if you’re feeling less adventurous choose from the good ol’ Cosmopolitan, Bloody Mary, Martini, LIIT or Old Fashioned. Beers on tap, towers, Cocktail Pitchers, premium & domestic spirits, liquers & wines make up the rest of the menu and for those of you who’d like a well, mock hangover, they’ve got a brilliant selection of mocktails too!
