PRIME MINISTER NARENDRA MODI ON A 21 DAYS CHALLENGE MISSION

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in an unprecedented gamble of 21 days complete lockdown of the country have requested the citizen of the country to stay indoors and stay safe.

The Prime Minister has asked everyone to follow the 21 days challenge of following the lockdown guidelines and has affirmed that it will come at a definite "economic cost", but the priority is to save the lives of his people first, he added, "I am folding my hands to say — please stay where you are. All leading experts say 21 days is the minimum we require to break the coronavirus transmission cycle. If we are not able to handle these 21 days, the country and your family will go back 21 years and innumerable families will be destroyed. I am saying this not as the Prime Minister but as your family member."

He has also updated us in his addressing speech to the country that there are provisions made for the people affected by the virus of Rs 15000 crore. There are personal protective equipment, facilities, beds, medicines, vaccines, ventilators, and other infrastructural needs being arranged and have ensured that healthcare is the priority right now. He conveyed gratitude towards the private sector for standing with the country in these tough times and fighting together. He has advised people to get themselves checked immediately if they feel any symptom of any sort, and not take medicines on their own, without prescription or advice from the doctor.

The country of more than 1.3 billion people has shut down for 21 days, the measures are already being taken across the country to strictly follow the implementation of the 21 days lockdown guidelines. Any violation of the guidelines is resulting in immediate action by the local police. There have been already more than 300 cases registered in Uttar Pradesh and more than 200 in Punjab. Shaheen Bagh is now enforced under the lockdown guidelines to be evacuated as well.

The situation of this pandemic will be the test of time for the prime minister and will prove the kind of hold he has over the country and the government's services for its citizens. He has proven time and again to be one of the most accomplished politicians of his time in the world and has had a stronghold on his ability to influence opinions easily. This lockdown will prove fatal for a large population in India who entirely depends on daily wages to survive and three weeks would be pushing their limits.

The PM tweeted, "My fellow citizens, there is no need to panic. Essential commodities, medicines, etc. would be available. Centre and various state governments will work in close coordination to ensure this. Together, we will fight COVID-19 and create a healthier India. Jai Hind!"

Tough times require tough actions to be taken and the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi looks like he has taken the control of the situation in his hand and time will tell if the decision of shutting down a country of more than 1.3 billion was a good idea to break the cycle of the COVID19 virus or not. Regardless of this arrow in the dark hitting the bullseye, this 21 days challenge is going to bring with it irreversible changes.
