Sri Venkateshwara College of Engineering (SVCE) is a leading private engineering college in the North of Bengaluru, located at Vidyanagar, Kempegowda International Airport Road, Bengaluru. The institute was established in the year 2001 with affiliation from Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi, Karnataka and is recognized by AICTE, New Delhi.
The institute is ISO 9001-2008 certified and accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA) for the programmes of "Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Mechanical Engineering".

The student should have passed II PUC / 12th standard and obtained 45% of marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics along with / Bio-Technology / Computer Science / Electronics / Biology are eligible for admission.
Government of Karnataka conducts Common Entrance Test (CET) tentatively in the month of April every year. Karnataka domicile students can apply for this test and the allotment of the seats is done online. 45% of the seats of the total intake are to be filled through CET.
Consortium of the managements of private colleges of Karnataka conducts COMED-K test tentatively in the month of May every year. Both, Karnataka & Non Karnataka students can appear for this test. 30% of the seats of the total intake are to be filled through COMED-K test. The remaining 25% of seats are admitted through management of the institute.
The 20% of the candidates with diploma qualification are eligible to enter as lateral entry candidates through CET written test to the second year of the respective courses.

The fee structure is prescribed by the Government of Karnataka for the admission through CET and COMEDK for UG and PG programmes.
SVCE provides a separate accommodation within the campus for both boys and girls with total capacity for 600 students. Hostels have ambient atmosphere with fully furnished accommodation. Hostels are facilitates with Wi-Fi connectivity, Playground, Gym, Indoor games.
A full-fledged hygienic kitchen with experienced cook specialized in north and south Indian dishes. The hostel menu is prepared according to the students preferences.
There are various SEZ/ Corporate Companies in the vicinity of the institute which is an added advantage to the students and corporate world too for placements. The pre final and final year students are specially trained in their respective field of interest to boost their skill set as per the requirements of the recruiter.
Annually more than 100 corporate companies visit the institute for recruitment. SVCE is considered to be top institute in organizing pool campus drives at Bengaluru North.
It has conducted more than 25 months of placement activities, more than 150 pool campus drives; more than 3500 offer letters issued and more than 25 companies visit the institute multiple times. Apart from being the leading educator in technical education, our institute has continued to be clear marketing leader in placement.
The visiting of 85 organizations in just 25 months is record with repeated visits by top 100 leading companies such as IBM, Ericsson, Amazon, TCS, Cognizant, Accenture, Aptean, Unisys, Maven etc helped the institute to become a leader in placements.
Institute is providing special training module involving preparation of CV's, current topics, improving interview skills, personality development and mock sessions.

An Expert selection committee delegated by Management will appoint the teaching faculty for all the respective programmes. The selection procedure is framed and is based on VTU and AICTE norms. The qualification and experience of the selected candidates is as per VTU and AICTE requirements.
The faculty are well qualified with PG graduates from recognized Technical institutes/ Universities.
The doctorates and faculty with ample of teaching/ industrial experience are given senior positions to guide and teach the students and also to carry out consultancy, research and administrative work. Majority of the faculty have their research publication in recognized national and international conferences and journals.
Some of the faculty are actively involved in Virtual academy of Ancient Knowledge (VAAK); which is concerned with study of ancient Vedic science and its adoption and application in current modern technology.
The institute has achieved 90-100% results in final year examination of both UG and PG courses consistently. Our faculty members have published their research work in indexed journals where some of our faculty have secured best paper award from Vision Group of Science & Technology (VGST), Govt. of Karnataka.
A dedicated effort in the research fetches good research grants from different funding agencies. Students too received the project funds from KSCST and VGST, Dept. of Science and Technology, Govt. of Karnataka to carry out the project works. In sport too College cricket team won II prize in Zonal University Sports Competition.
The organization is recognized by AICTE and it is renewed annually.

The input quality of students through CET is an important challenge and has improved considerably compared to the initial period. However, efforts are being made to attract better ranked students. Today SVCE is the "Pool Campus Hub" in North Bengaluru; in addition to this large number of companies are visiting to our campus to recruit SVCE students exclusively.
The institute feels there is need to improve placement in core disciplines and in this regard efforts are already initiated to achieve the target. Retention of faculty is another challenge for educational institutes which are surrounded by corporate companies.
As all know, Bengaluru is globally known for its IT industry and also has maximum number of technological institutions; all technical institutes are facing faculty retention issue.

We are preparing for NAAC accreditation and expecting to get by 2020.
Fully air conditioned computer labs which are also equipped with modern gadgets, LAN and internet facility are available to accommodate each student. All department labs are facilitated with required equipments, machineries and experimental devices as per the VTU and AICTE norms.
All the branches have University recognized research centres and cater the needs of the faculty and post graduate students to carry out their research and project work. All the lecture halls and laboratories are provided with LCD Projectors and internet facilities for effective teaching and learning process.
