"We are committed to making India the Skill Capital, equipped with the Largest Workforce to efficiently handle New Age Technologies"
– Praveen Arya
An initiative of Foresight Edutech Private Limited, a NSDC Partner Company, F-TEC is a Training Organization catering to the demands IT-Skilled Workforce, which over time evolved as a Training & Multi-Skilling Company, working extensively to support the 'Skill India Mission'.
F-TEC established in 1995, under the able leadership of Praveen Arya, Founder & Current Chairman, imparts training in more than 15 sectors & operates in more than 10 Indian cities.
They have initiatedprograms under new training vertical F-TEC Skill Academy to equip youth with New Age Technologies. F-TEC Skill Academy vision is to train, re-skill &up-skill youth to ensure that India has a ready workforce to deal with 4th Industrial Revolution.
In an enlightening conversation with The CEO Magazine, Praveen Arya talks about the biggest challenges being currently faced to re-skill workforce to stay relevant &employable in the era of disruptive technologies.
He also shared, about India's preparedness & ongoing processes to further prepare & to capitalize on new opportunities offered by 4th Industrial Revolution with new technologies emerged in the recent past & more coming up;
In the first phase, F-TEC Skill Academy has rolled out programs in areas of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Data Analytics (DA), Digital Marketing (DM) &Business Analytics (BA).
The new programs are designed to ensure India has a productive workforce as per requirements in the era of 4th Industrial Revolution. F-TEC has come forward with a hybrid delivery model, introducing a blended model of virtual delivery with face-to-face training.
This is "one of its kinds" model as compare to existing market of online delivery portals. F-TEC identified the equal importance of "face-to-face training" to ensure mentoring, coaching & inter-personal skills among trainees as also using technology as an enabler in the form of virtual classrooms which ensure industry experts as trainers directly training candidates as per industry requirements.
In India, we are facing the biggest challenge in this age &time as the existing workforce needs to be re-skilled & new entrants to the workforce need to be equipped with new-age skills. The initial challenge was to identify gaps, new industry skill requirements & future needs.
To have a better understanding of the same, F-TEC has been extensively engaged with industries for the past year & has identified new skills. To have better insights, F-TEC adopted National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF) &most of their programs are aligned with this.
The biggest technological impact in the 21st century undoubtedly is Artificial Intelligence (AI). AI is impacting industry in two ways – on one side, it is improving productivity immensely & on the other, there is a huge demand for re-skilling existing workforce as also to find new entrants in workforce having new-age skills.
The New Age Technologies are impacting practically everyone's lives &influencing how we lead our lives. Availability of experienced trainers for New Technologies is a big challenge for any training organization as it is almost impossible to get competent trainers in large numbers.
The solution lies in adopting technology to deliver trainings in the right fashion and in the right proportion which will revolutionize the Ed-Tech space in India.
F-TEC has been in the training space over last 25 years having trained more than half a million candidates. With this extensive experience of dealing with Youth, F-TEC has a big advantage of having tested practices to reach out to the right audience.
This will remain the biggest challenge for all market players. Training &Ed-Tech companies face the challenges of reaching out to the right target audience &F-TEC enjoys this advantage not only due to its overall experience but also having a functional Digital Marketing Business Vertical – Social Sage, to provide 360 Degrees Solutions for Online Marketing.
F-TEC has the largest alumni base as compared to other market players. These alumni need re-skilling & F-TEC has un-matched advantage amongst any other market players. We have tested model of reaching out directly to youth through our campus dialogue program.
It's already here – we are practically in the 4th Industrial Revolution & new technologies are directly affecting the way we lead our lives, how we dress, how we eat & how we spend.
In this era, education technology cannot remain static & needs to utilize AI & Data Science not only to reach out tobut also to help youth to make correct career choices or diversification.
F-TEC Skill Academy is another new initiative of the F-TEC Group wherein we are looking to train about 25000 youth within the next 3 to 5 years in higher skills to empower them with New Age Technologies. F-TEC is also looking at close engagement with campuses to engage with fresh graduates & training them in New Age Skills.
F-TEC was declared as one of the major IT-ITES Training Institutions in Delhi (NCR) by The Week magazine, awarded the Imaan India Samman & recently received the SKOCH Award. F-TEC is one of the pioneers in the Professional Training Space & has trained more than half a million candidates.
It's very important to find out the real needs &solutions for existing delivery quality problems. For that, it is important that one should diagnose the issue well so that a suitable solution could be worked upon. Understanding the need and aspiration of target audience is also very critical.
Being a social enterprise, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is in the genes of F-TEC. Since inception, we have been engaged in community projects &have launched several programs to empower our women workforce &encouragedtheir participation within the company.
Presently in the new version of our flagship scheme – Mahila Jyoti Yojana (MJY) with the "Gift a Skill" initiative is provided for girl candidates wherein they could avail scholarship equal to 25% of their course fees.
