The Judge Group India: transforming India by assisting SMEs in their business life cycle

The economic liberalism is said to be of very dynamic and adaptive nature. During Industrial capitalism, the focus remained on the primary and secondary sectors of the economy. Due to increased automation, scarce employment opportunities, and the rise in income levels lead to the increased demand for services in different sectors, in the post-Industrial phase, the majority of capitalist economies have transformed themselves into service-based economies. China, after the success in the manufacturing sector, is also shifting towards transforming towards a service-based economy. This shift in the trend facilitated the steep rise of professional services. Ex RBI governor Raghuram Rajan in an interview suggested that we need to find the market for our products within the country itself for continuous growth. To ensure that the Indian economy needs to develop its service and professional industry, as it will provide employment opportunities with increased income and higher purchasing power, the resultant will be higher growth and development. The Judge Group came into existence by Martin E. Judge in 1970, as a professional services company. It continued to expand rapidly into new industries, new states, and even new countries. The hitherto journey

The journey hitherto has been very rewarding and successful so far. The hard work put in by the entire team culminated into a bubbling and vibrant entity called Judge India. The company started with a team of five people, and now it has outgrown itself to around 150 people team within a short span of 15 months.

The approach to change

Our technical clients are international industry leaders, and Judge continues to connect thousands of professionals with some of the most in-demand roles. It was a challenge for two different cultures to come together and work at a common ground. But the hunger to learn and deliver superseded it. The positives of both the cultures amalgamated to bring out state of the art processes and the frameworks.

Difficult lesson learned as an entrepreneur

Driving the best performance out of every single employee must remain any employer’s utmost priority right from the recruiting till employee’s last day at work for ensuring the success of any business.

Road Ahead

For us, it’s about People, Process and Performance. Our mantra is 3Ps to enhance our brand for our people and clients. We’ve dedicated marketing partners who ensure that messaging is right to our potential customers and future joiners. We get a lot of business from reference and current customer base.We will continue to grow organically. Along with doubling the size of our current base, India, including the work-force & infrastructure, we are planning to expand our base in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Dubai.

A piece of advice for the budding entrepreneurs

I think it would be a good initiative by future entrepreneurs & engineering institutions if they establish career development cells and aware the students about its importance. Internships with related industries should be made compulsory for engineering students for much-needed job experience. Research projects in collaboration with companies related to various concerns, issues, and themes specific to the industry can give students great learning experience. Moreover, the colleges can organize sessions and conferences where industry professionals can give students relevant insights into recruitment processes, employability opportunities, and job roles.
