Appreciating women and their fighting spirit, many female leaders in India are recognised as winners at Women Entrepreneur Empowerment Meet-2020 organized by the Ministry Of Central Micro Small and Medium Enterprises.

This Women's day, a three-day conference was organised by the Ministry of MSME in collaboration with various industry associations like FICCI-Flo, CII and India SME Forum with key areas of women in focus.

From aa discussion on 'Creating a conducive business Eco System for Empowering Women Entrepreneurs' has been arranged for more than 300 women entrepreneurs from all parts of the country to the conference mentioned MSME Sambandh and Udyam Sakhi portal which has helped to generate a pool of successful women entrepreneurs in the country, this conference covered a lot of topics.

Over the years, women's role is not confined to any type of business, they have been entering different industries and sector and standing at par with their male counterparts.

The leader addressing the inaugural session of 'Conference on Empowering Women Entrepreneurs' in New Delhi, Shri Gadkari said that the Government is committed to no discrimination against women entrepreneurs, and called upon them to maintain high standards in the quality and delivery of products.

The leader recognised that the women entrepreneurs face daunting challenges and, for the same, he complimented them for standing tall against all odds.

What is more important to empower women with technology? So the leader at the platform also informed that the Government is working on launching a new website for the MSME sector on the lines of the Alibaba platform for marketing MSME products.

MSME MINISTRY'S CONTRIBUTION TO WOMEN ENTREPRENEURSHIP

Training: The Ministry of MSME has trained more than 6000 women in incense stick (agarbatti) manufacturing and packaging.

Over 150 women have been trained in Electric pottery in the terrorism affected areas of Baramula district followed by nearly 25 girls in Pulwama and around 100 girls in Kathua have been trained in tailoring, 125 women from Nagrota near Jammu are making 7500 khadi handkerchief (rumals) per day.

THE CONFERENCE BY MSME

The three-day conference has been organised by the Ministry of MSME in collaboration with various industry associations like FICCI-Flo, CII and India SME Forum had 300 women entrepreneurs who come from all parts of the country.

On the eve of International women's day and felicitated women entrepreneurs at the Conference, the leaders Shri Gadkari and Minister of State for MSME Shri Pratap Chandra Sarangi congratulated the women entrepreneurs.

WOMEN: THE PILLARS OF SOCIETY

The most important part of the society, women once are empowered, they empower the whole world which is recognised by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME).

They are empowering women entrepreneurs through their different schemes helping women spark their talent and build their own identity.

1.38 lakh projects have been set up by the women entrepreneurs under the Prime Minister's Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) Scheme since inception and up to 23.01.2019 which includes 30% of projects set up by women entrepreneurs.

GOI INITIATIVES FOR WOMEN

As mentioned above, women today are a part of businesses across the world and the government of India works not only with the MSME but has taken various steps towards women empowerment and safety.

The initiatives by GOI like Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao, Stand Up India, Mission Indradhanush, Mudra Yojana Scheme, TREAD (Trade-Related Entrepreneurship Assistance and Development) Scheme, Mahila Udyam Nidhi Scheme, Annapurna Scheme, Stree Shakti Package for Women Entrepreneurs, Bhartiya Mahila Business Bank Loan, Dena Shakti Scheme, Udyogini Scheme, Cent Kalyani Scheme and many more have added to the welfare of the women population in India.
