THIS 71ST REPUBLIC DAY, STREAM PATRIOTIC MOTIVATION

The constitution came into existence on this day, Republic Day of India. On this 71st occasion of this historical event marked in history, don't just belittle it to a national holiday.

The unfolding of the Indian national flag to a salute of 21 guns witnessed the birth of our constitution more than 70 years ago and the monumental recognition across the country demands more than just being shared as a social media post.

2020 this year will see its 71st Republic Day of India, and on this momentous occasion, The CEO Magazine decided to band a memorable list of quotes straight from the diary of our freedom fighters that lived down in the chronicles of the history of the Indian struggle;

  • At the dawn of history India started on her unending quest, and trackless centuries are filled with her striving and the grandeur of her success and her failures. Through good and ill fortune alike she [India] has never lost sight of that quest or forgotten the ideals which gave her strength – Jawaharlal Nehru

  • A nation's culture resides in the hearts and in the soul of its people – Mahatma Gandhi

  • When I read the Bhagavad-Gita and reflect about how God created this universe everything else seems so superfluous – Albert Einstein

  • India has two million gods, and worships them all. In religion all other countries are paupers; India is the only millionaire – Mark Twain

  • Even if I died in the service of the nation, I would be proud of it. Every drop of my blood… will contribute to the growth of this nation and to make it strong and dynamic – Indira Gandhi

  • India has no dearth of brave young men and women and if they get the opportunity and help then we can compete with other nations in space exploration and one of them will fulfill her dreams – Atal Behari Vajpayee

  • I feel that the constitution is workable, it is flexible and it is strong enough to hold the country together both in peacetime and in wartime. Indeed, if I may say so, if things go wrong under the new Constitution, the reason will not be that we had a bad Constitution. What we will have to say is that Man was vile – B.R. Ambedkar

  • Unlike a drop of water which loses its identity when it joins the ocean, man does not lose his being in the society in which he lives. Man's life is independent. He is born not for the development of the society alone, but for the development of his self -B.R. Ambedkar

  • Every Indian should now forget that he is a Rajput, a Sikh or a Jat. He must remember that he is an Indian – Sardar Patel

  • Even if I died in the service of the nation, I would be proud of it. Every drop of my blood will contribute to the growth of this nation and to make it strong and dynamic – Indira Gandhi

  • If yet your blood does not rage, then it is water that flows in your veins. For what is the flush of youth, if it is not of service to the motherland – Chandra Shekhar Azad

  • Courage to give, Courage to think different, courage to invent, the courage to discover the impossible, Courage to travel into an unexplored path, courage to share knowledge, the courage to remove pain, courage to reach the unreached, courage to combat problems, and succeed are the qualities of youth – Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam

  • Constitution is not a mere lawyer's document, it is a vehicle of Life, and its spirit is always the spirit of Age – B.R. Ambedkar

  • The sanctity of law can be maintained only so as long as it is the expression of the will of the people – Bhagat Singh

  • Where the mind is without fear and the head id held high; Where knowledge is free; Where the world has not been broken up into fragments by domestic walls; Where words come out from the depth of truth; Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection; Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way into the dreary desert sand of dead habit; Where the mind is led forward by thee into ever-widening thought and action–Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake – Rabindranath Tagore

  • I pray for India's advancement from strength to strength, rising and powerful nation, leading the world in the years to come, to a higher level of civilisation. Indeed, this has been the dream, the vision, of the great stalwarts in our struggle for freedom. In India's emancipation they saw a new hope for humanity – Shankar Dayal Sharma

  • The great dream of raising a new India from the ashes of colonialism reached a historic denouement in 1947; more important, independence became a turning point for an equally dramatic narrative, nation-building. The foundations were laid through our Constitution, adopted on 26 January 1950, which we celebrate each year as Republic Day. Its driving principle was a compact between state and citizen, a powerful public-private partnership nourished by justice, liberty and equality – Dr. Pranab Mukherjee

  • Freedom is not given, it is taken – Subhash Chandra Bose
