By Air- It is the easiest way to visit Ladakh, several flights fly to Ladakh in peak season and either in the off-season. Taxis are available outside the airport to transfer you to the main location.
By Road- You can reach Leh Ladakh through two routes- one through Manali in Himachal Pradesh which is 494 kilometers away from Manali and second through Srinagar which resides 434 kilometers away from Ladakh. You can simply hire a cab or jeep or can prefer an option of buses as well deluxe and non-deluxe, run from Kargil and between Leh and Srinagar on regular basis and visit very frequently. You do have the option to visit Ladakh from your vehicle from Delhi, Srinagar, Manali, and Chandigarh depending on your choice. Especially when Leh-Ladakh bike trips have been quite trendy nowadays but kindly note You can only travel to Ladakh by road between May to September, whereas during the winter season the highways are shut due to heavy snowfalls.
By Train- Tourists can not reach Ladakh directly by train because the nearest railway station is in Jammu, Jammu Tawi which is approximately 700 kilometers away from the mainland, however, the railway station is widely connected with Kolkata, Delhi, and Mumbai. After reaching the railway station tourists have to hire a cab or visit through the option of buses.
