1.  How has your father's support and guidance contributed to the success of the business?

My father's support and guidance have always been instrumental in the success of our business.

His mentorship and experience provide me with valuable knowledge and insights, enabling me to manage finances, make critical decisions, and navigate through challenges based on his own experiences.

His emotional support and encouragement have boosted my resilience during tough times. I am grateful for his unwavering support, which has positively helped me grow both personally and professionally.

2.  How do you maintain a healthy balance between your personal relationship with your father and your professional partnership in the business?

It has been a skill I have acquired over the years. With our family business spanning four decades and my father having worked alongside my grandfather, I have grown up understanding the importance of striking the right balance.

In the office, we treat each other as colleagues, focusing on our designated roles and seeking each other's expertise. Outside of work, we prioritize our personal bond, engaging in activities and discussions unrelated to business.

Respecting boundaries and investing in both aspects of our relationship helps us maintain a healthy balance that supports the success of our business and preserves our family ties.

3.  Can you describe a time when your father's support and encouragement helped you overcome a difficult period in your business?

During a difficult period in our business, my father's support and encouragement proved invaluable. As we ventured into the automotive industry, a new domain for us, we faced numerous challenges.

With the advent of EVs in India, we expanded and made substantial investments in the entire supply chain and network expansions. Together, with his vision, we created a new venture.

One particular situation arose when the entire EV industry faced extensive scrutiny from various government bodies, and the inflow of subsidies was halted.

I found myself in an extremely tough situation, having to manage employee, partner, and dealer payments, as well as address uncertainties regarding the future of the industry.

However, my father, along with my grandfather, continually instilled faith in me and provided numerous ideas, along with a few basic systems and processes that helped us sail through one of the toughest times we have faced in the EV business.

Despite the challenges, with his ideas and input, we were able to fulfill all our obligations and ensure trust and confidence in our partners.

4. How do you see the future of your business evolving with your father's continued involvement, and what are your plans to sustain and further grow the company together?

With my father's continued involvement, I envision the future of our business as a continuation of our family legacy, focused on preserving our values, culture, and reputation for future generations.

Our plans involve nurturing strong relationships with employees, customers, and partners to ensure the long-term sustainability and growth of the company.

My father's encouragement, open mindset, curiosity, and adaptability have always helped me embrace new ideas, overcome challenges, and continuously improve myself. Together, we are building the EV industry, and his invaluable guidance is essential to our success.

5.  What are 3 habits/values that you admire about your father and would like to imbibe in yourself for your kids?

Resilience in the face of challenges inspires me to develop the same perseverance. My father's commitment to integrity in all aspects of life motivates me to uphold honesty and ethics.

Additionally, his passion for continuous learning encourages me to foster intellectual curiosity and inspire my children to embrace personal and intellectual growth.
