VEN CONSULTING INDIA: PLATFORM BRIDGING GAP AMID ‘SKILLED’ RESOURCES AND CORPORATE GIANTS WITH CUSTOMISED SERVICE MODEL

The Indian market has witnessed tremendous growth over the last two decades as it evolved from traditional employment to need-based skill engagement. With multiple projects opening up focussing on better infrastructure for the Indian population many MNC’s are participating in the race to cater to these needs.

In this scenario, the gap in finding the ‘right skill’ on ‘right time’ in ‘right place’ in ‘required volume’ is widening. A decade ago, while serving companies in the recruitment industry with a client base of 350+ major automotive OEMs, Construction Companies and Energy OEMs across India, two visionaries, Sucheta Gour and Sanjay G Lingadalli founded Ven Consulting India in June 2012 to bridge this gap.

Headquartered in Bangalore, the Silicon Valley of India, Ven Consulting India is providing service across the country with the majority of assignments in the eastern and northern region, the toughest regions to find skilled resources and manage them. Being a unique brand, the company has created a space in the industry serving various high-end projects including Soubhagya, Rural electrification project driven by PM Narendra Modi, Mumbai and Pune Metro projects, Smartcity Projects, Solar EPC Projects and many more.

Pioneering in the Industry

“The foundation of the brand was not intentional as it was a result of delivering to a client’s request to cater to staffing solutions along with the existing recruitment solutions. Building a distinct brand, the staffing solutions by Ven Consulting India included end-to-end services unlike the existing recruitment and payroll companies,” Sucheta Gour on the initial journey of Ven Consulting India

She further added “After its initial successful assignments, the brand received various assignments being a pioneer solving a major issue in the industry. There has been no looking back, as the project requirements for the people with ‘niche skill’ for specific projects and specific duration increased, the demand led to increased business for Ven Consulting India.”

Industries Catered

The leading Projects and Engineering company has significantly faced growth catering high-quality solutions to corporate giants in various sectors including automotive, aerospace & defence, and R&D services. Ven is associated with 40 leading brands including traditional business houses like TATA, L & T, Automotive giants Ashok Leyland and many MNC’s, fortune 500 Companies.

Ven Consulting India Business Model: Overcoming the Challenges

Today, Indian job trends are majorly influenced by the newer technologies or timeline in completing the projects with the rightly skilled resource availability in volumes across different locations.

Ven overcomes the challenges including multiple projects functional parallel to each client, resource availability across locations, attrition, specific skill requirements during different phases of the project along with diversified projects making resources unfit for another project.

End to End Solution Provider

Ven Consulting India offers an array of services starting from manpower planning, technical candidate validation, volume employee mobilization, demobilization, performance monitoring system, reports creation for the supervision of the resource, statutory management, and site management.

Service – ‘Plug & Perform’

With the need for resources as on yesterday and zero downtime to train the resource, the project-based Companies generally need resources that are skilled to perform on the most niche projects with accuracy, skill and commitment. Ven India with its virtual bench has a huge databank of skilled resources deployable within least TAT across the sectors and geographies.

While the candidates technical evaluated by Ven’s backend team of engineering graduates are ready to be engaged, on-site these employees are scattered and hence a team of client relationship managers approaches every project site to ensure proper orientation and performance of the employees.

Continuous Employment

Usually, with every project ending, the companies may have to retrench employees which negatively affect their brand value. Ven Consulting India ensures that the employees’ exit from one company’s project site and leads to engagement with another ensuring continued employment for the resource avoiding challenges for the companies.

A Fast Growing Team

Ven Consulting India has witnessed growth in various aspects where the original team size has expanded from 24 professionals in the backend team to 90, along with around 800+ engineers working onsite with the clients. Ven Consulting India has equipped to meet the increased demand for such personnel by on-boarding 300 people every month.

Core Values

Being a known brand in the industry, Ven Consulting India team is in sync with the core values of the company. Maintaining client privacy by maintaining the confidentiality of the knowledge from the client is one of the prime and core values the brand follows. Along with integrity and teamwork, the employees in the company work towards delivering quality services.

“Each of the employees is a representation of the Ven India at the Client place. We want to be known through the employee’s integrity and their quality services to the client,” shared Sucheta Gour

Expansion Plans

Ven Consulting India is experiencing a market-driven expansion. While the brand is working on meeting the demand of the clients with professional managers, it is also creating a platform to groom fresher Engineers and Management- postgraduates across the country by training them to manage teams and build strategies to improvise the process to develop better client experience on-site with a ‘fast track course – Young Leader Program’.

The company is planning to build its service base in Germany and Japan and double its team size to support the expected growth for the following year. It is challenging its resources towards achieving the 5-year plan of becoming a global platform and having operations outside the Indian borders along with new technology-based tools to provide quality services.

Advice from the Visionary

“HR is all about learning to know and manage people. Until and unless there is no better understanding of people, they can’t be mapped to the jobs, challenges of the projects and companies they need to work for hindering the growth of the organization eventually the growth of the nation. While ideally, people tend to think that the process has to take care of, I believe it is the people who have to be taken care of. A customised service model is key to a successful brand.” Sucheta Gour shares a piece of advice for new entrants in the market.
