Deepti Saxena, the founder and director of Visas Avenue sat down with the CEO magazine to conversate about the company, its facets, her daily routine and much more. Here are the edited excerpts.

Provide an overview of your personal and professional journey.

I was lucky enough to be born in a family where I had idols to associate with. Fortunately for me my idols right from my childhood has been my father and mother who possess extremely different qualities from each other but always towards one goal that is" Do What is right", whether you have to sacrifice/compromise your feelings, happiness or any other valuable thing to make the right decision. This thought has made me walk a long way courageously and made me reach where I am today. Though, I always knew that someday I will be a CEO/Founder of some company and I used to joke about this to my mother whenever she used to ask my goal, but yes line of business was never a serious thought. However, having said that I had the confidence in myself, which I inculcated from my parents and my family. The confidence of giving more than 100 percent in what I do, and that confidence helped me climb every ladder in the life right from my school days to my college studies and then the challenges I faced early on in my career. My professional journey started with some challenges which all newcomers in the corporate world had to face, while they try to establish themselves in the industry. However, the idea of business came in to my mind when I saw the challenges and difficulties people face, while going through the immigration process, dealing with different consultants, immigration departments, officers, etc. I thought of making their life easy, by launching an agency or firm that make the process hassle free for them and provide them the transparent advice which is rare to find these days.

Who are your clients? How do you work on your long-term relationship with your clients?

The individuals and families applying Visa in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, etc. are our clients, who we guide and support in the whole immigration process, so that they get the visa approval from the authorities well within the expected time.

We strongly believe that making a client content and happy through our services is the best way to maintain long term relationship with him/her. Every client is precious for us, and so is our client database, which helps us in keeping in touch with them. Once we are through with the process, we try to ask for the feedback from client about our services and his/her views on further recommending Visas Avenue services.

Throw some light on your team and area of expansion.

We have a team of over 300 employees which chiefly comprise client service managers, immigration experts, client service executives, and other associated staff members. We have six full-fledged and entirely operational Immigration Consulting offices across India, i.e. New Delhi (Corporate Office), Noida, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai.

Could you walk us through your daily routine?

I get up in the morning at 8:00 am, put my running shoe on for a jog in the morning, then have a coffee and breakfast, post that I reach office, have face to face and Skype sessions/Video Conferencing with the members of the board and other departmental heads. Work on the strategies to improvise, face the challenges and planning on the future goals and executing the same. I usually leave Office late and once I reach home, I have food, talk to my parents over the call, surf the internet and do some research till late night or early morning 2:00 am and then go off to sleep

What are the milestones and awards earned by your company?

Well, the journey of Visas Avenue as an organization is an achievement itself, as to how it started from small premises with less than 10 employees and now it is a huge family of more than 300 employees working across six full-fledged immigration consulting offices across India. Today, Visas Avenue is one of the best Immigration Consultancy Companies in India and constantly growing at a rapid rate. We have been rated among top visa consultancy companies by various online/offline surveys conducted by various well-regarded entities.

What are your forthcoming strategies to grow your firm?

Visas Avenue is already an established brand in India and in next few years, we are planning to expand our services globally. We are already planning and coordinating to launch two of our Immigration Consultancy offices in Gulf countries. Moreover, we have few more products in pipeline which cannot be revealed at this time for commercial reasons.

What advice can you give entrepreneurs who want to venture into the same domain in the future?

All I can say is, if you believe in yourself and in your dreams and work towards the same with complete dedication and zeal, only sky is the limit for you. Having said that, keep your feet grounded and never compromise with your ethics and values in haste of success and achievement.
