Ginni Rometty is one of the best business women in the world and an executive chairman of IBM previously served as chairman, president, and CEO of IBM and also had the honour to be the first women head in the company. She took retirement from IBM in December 2020 after serving 40 memorable years.

She joined IBM in 1981 as a system engineer and also looked into global sales, marketing and strategy.

One of the largest acquaintances in professional services history was IBM’s acquisition of PricewaterhouseCoopers’ IT consulting business for $3.5 billion in 2002 has been credited to her efforts and she succeeded to make her space in Time’s list of 2002 Global Business Influential List.

Mary Teresa Barra holds the designation of CEO in General Motors since January 2014, she has been honoured to be the first female CEO of “Big Three Automakers”. Before being named CEO she served as an executive vice president in the areas of global products development, purchasing, and supply chain.

She was also included in the Board of Directors of Detroit Economic Club, and Detroit Country Day School also introduced to the Board of Trustees of Stanford University and the Board of Trustees of Duke University.

Barra completed her Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from General Motors Institute in 1985 now known as Kettering University, and also attended Stanford Graduate School of Business on GM fellowship and received her Masters in Business Administration degree in 1990.

Whitney Wolfe Herd is an American business woman, she founded the online dating platform Bumble, Inc in 2014 and also holds the position of CEO in the company.

She has been serving as vice president of marketing at Tinder. Wolfe Herd is being honoured to be the youngest current self-made female billionaire.

She has been credited to make Tinder popular among the young generation and tried to increase the user base of the company while working in Tinder.

But in 2014 she resigned from the company and filed a case of sexual harassment against Tinder and the company had to pay $1 million and stock as a settlement.

She started a female-friendly dating app and in December 2014 she founded Bumble. She came up in the Forbes’ list of Forbes 30 under 30 for two consecutive years in 2017 and in 2018 and she was included in Time 100 list in 2018.

Lisa Su is the resident and CEO of Advanced Micro Devices. In her initial career, she worked in the engineering and management department in Texas Instruments, IBM and Freescale Semiconductor.

She is credited with developing silicon-on-insulator semiconductors, and during her tenure as vice president of IBM’s Semiconductor Research and Development Centre more efficient semiconductor chips were in use.

She served in the position of senior vice president at AMD and also served on the boards of Analog Devices, Global Semiconductor Alliance, and the US Semiconductor Industry Association also associated with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.

She also published around forty technical articles and co-authored a book chapter on the subject of next-generation consumer electronics in 2016.
