Think of that teacher that realised what needed to be done to coax the best out of you, and set about doing so silently, thanklessly.

Or how about that time you set out for an early, early morning jog on the beach, only to find a sea of volunteers diligently cleaning things up, all with no one asking for it to be done.

Through acts big and small, leaders have woven a thread through the fabric of our lives in ways known and unknown. 

Cut to today, and we see organizational managers, supervisors, and executive leaders as leadership figures in positions of authority.
