Chnadrayaan 2: A Successful Initiative in Spiking Interest of Indian Youth into Space

After a communication problem during landing on September 7, Chandrayaan's lander, Vikram (meaning the brave and victorious) was finally spotted on September 8.

Chandrayaan 2 is Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) mission to explore lunar surface by soft landing a rover on the celestial body.

With its primary objective to ensure soft landing over moon's surface and studies of lunar topography, mineralogy, elemental abundance, the lunar exosphere and signatures of hydroxyl and water ice. The mission is also drawing interest for space in the young Indians to become potential Astronauts.

Space has also intrigued children especially the moon. With the Chandrayaan mission, an opportunity has been explored for Indian parents to boost their children's interest in space and its various dimensions. From its launch on 22nd July 2019, children from across India have been interested and followed the journey very passionately. The journey has been enriching for children with their constant fascination with the moon.
