India being on the lockdown for the next 21 days after approximately 60 cases being reported in the last 5 days, has bought the country to a standstill in a hope that it will help in curbing down the spread and the effect of the coronavirus.

The community needs saving from this contagious that's rapidly transmitting across people in all parts of the world at present, the situation is severe and requires everyone to work in harmony to control the impact. The Director-General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus shared that the lockdown that has been implemented in several countries right now to fight the virus may not be enough to let go the pandemic from the world.

"To slow the spread of Covid-19, many countries introduced "lockdown" measures. But on their own, these measures will not extinguish epidemics. We call on all countries to use this time to attack the novel coronavirus. You have created a second window of opportunity," stated Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.

He further added, "Asking people to stay at home and shutting down population movement is buying time and reducing the pressure on health systems. But on their own, these measures will not extinguish epidemics. We call on all countries who have introduced so-called lockdown measures, to use this time to attack the virus. You have created a second window of opportunity; the question is how will you use it?"

The director General feels that there is a dire need for measures to be taken more aggressively. One of the best ways to ensure that the pandemic has bought into control if by finding, isolating, testing, treating and tracing, there is no better, faster way out of this situation than activating extreme social and economic restrictions.

The number around the world is continuously growing, the people who have been infected by the virus has crossed an approximate number of 4,14,179 and more than 18000 people have died according to the World Health Organization. India has witnessed a rise in the cases, 26th March, Thursday 2020 say the number standing at a staggering 656 and the government is doing everything in their best capacity to ensure people stay at home and avoid coming in contact with the disease.

Awareness about the precautions is being constantly spread, people are reminded of wearing masks if needed, wash hands as much possible, and not just be relying on the hand sanitizers for their good.
