Andhra Pradesh has a bicameral legislative structure, with a legislative assembly comprising 175 members and a legislative council with 58 members. The state has 11 seats in the Rajya Sabha and 25 seats in the Lok Sabha.
In the 2019 elections, Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, leader of the YSR Congress Party, assumed office as Chief Minister with a resounding mandate, winning 151 out of 175 seats.
