Do you know Reliance Jio is planning to offer JioFiber free for two months?

After bringing revolution in the mobile telephony market with free voice calls and cheap data, Reliance Industries is now planning to bring an ultra-high-speed fixed-line broadband service nationwide.

The Chairman of the group, Mukesh Ambani announced fibre-to-the-home service called Jio GigaFiber; it is a combo service including broadband internet, fixed-line telephone service, and television set-top-box, at its AGM. Renamed JioFiber, the service is an innovation. The best part is that it will be for free, at least for the first two months for the preview customers.

This move will present India's largest private company push fibre into homes and offices, and provide the education and healthcare sectors the bandwidth required to reach out to the masses. Post-September 5 roll-out, new customers will have to pay a refundable security amount of Rs 1500 and Rs 1000 as installation charges. You can register by visiting the official website of Reliance Jio.

At the initial phase, this service will be available in the selected cities only including Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Noida, Chennai, Ghaziabad, Varanasi, Surat, Vadodara, Bhubaneshwar, Varanasi, Allahabad, Bangalore, Agra, Meerut, Vizag, Lucknow, Jamshedpur, Haridwar, Gaya, Patna, Port Blair, Punjab, etc.

'Welcome Offer'

Moreover, Reliance Jio is also going to introduce a 'Welcome offer' under which people will be given HD or 4K LED TV as well as 4K set-top box for free with the Jio Fiber connection to those who opt for the annual plans or the 'Jio Forever plans.'

You may be surprised to know that Reliance Jio Fiber has already received 1.5 crore registrations, and the giant is planning to cover as many as 2 crore residences and 1.5 crore business establishments across 1,600 towns in the country.

This initiative will move India to the top five nations in the fixed-line broadband segment in the near future; as Jio's launch in September 2016 made India the highest mobile data consuming nation.
