Aranyani Collection

Aranyani-the luxury fashion brand today announced the launch of their new collection Spring Summer 2018 (SS18) which gets its inspiration from the "Silk Route" as laid by the cherry blossoms. Aranyani currently has stores in Bengaluru and Surat and plans to expand internationally early next year. The bags by Aranyani are hand-crafted and hand-painted by artists. The story for the SS18 collection starts from the Samurai of Japan and ends in Turkey following the tracks of the cherry blossoms which laid their paths through the scenic mountains.

Every product of Aranyani is carefully handcrafted to be one of a kind. No more than two items per design are released at any point for each city, making it a masterpiece. This amalgamation of creativity and sophistication is the result of handpicked and handcrafted leather, elegantly painted by world-class Indian artisans.

"Nature always speaks to us, we need to learn to listen. We humans always look for the three important ingredients of life: Love, Peace and Happiness in all the activities that we do. Our story for SS18 tracks the historical route: The Silk Route. At the time when this route was open, civilisations flourished and wealth showed itself in abundance. Over a period of time, the seeds of greed and jealousy grew and ultimately closed the entire route. Efforts are on to open this route and many attempts failed since the main objective is to allow a single dominant player. However, nature speaks. Shows us that the cherry blossoms have paved the route for us. If we listen and act upon it, we will receive our three ingredients: Love, Peace and Happiness," Haresh Mirpuri, Founder & CEO, Aranyani said during the announcement.

It took two years of intensive training in Milan, global research on luxury leather products and arduous months of trial and testing before Team Aranyani was able to launch its products in the market. The biggest differentiator, according to Mirpuri, is bringing top-notch quality at affordable price.

"No one in this world, as an organisation, provides customised high quality hand painted bags at the prices that we offer. Aranyani is a luxury but definitely not unreachable," said Mirpuri.

The connoisseurs of fashion products would specially love the SS 18 collection executed by well-known artists Shan Re and Romicon Revola.

"I am delighted to collaborate with Aranyani to create a collection of bags in my signature style since my work is harmonious with the philosophy of Aranyani. My collaboration with Aranyani happened so effortlessly since I am flexible and open to experimentation, adapting to new medium excites me and drives me to focus on the beauty and depth of my creativity," said Shan Re on her collaboration with Aranyani.

Shan Re, known as a contemporary modernist, is a dynamic and prolific artist. The intensity and frequency of her creative output is enormous. She sees nature and art as inseparably linked. Nowhere does she find as much inspiration, peace and solace as in using nature as a metaphor to express her emotions. Shan's magical colour palette is one of the defining features of her work.

"Colour is the silent and dynamic visual language through which I communicate with my viewer. I choose my colour based on resonance not based on reasoning," she added.

Shan Re's work has been exhibited widely in India and abroad. Her artwork finds pride of place in various private collections across the world including London, Amsterdam, Paris, New York, Hong Kong, Singapore, Oslo and Berlin.

"I am excited to collaborate with Aranyani since I have an irresistible desire to do functional art. I feel that art should be a part of daily life and these single edition bags with original artwork are meant to make you feel like you are carrying a painting with you wherever you go," said Romicon.

Romicon Revola aka Romi is a contemporary visual artist based in Bangalore. Trained as a sculptor in San Francisco she has experimented with a variety of media. Her work encompasses monumental public sculpture, installation, painting, and video.

"My work often explores that mysterious, elusive space that lies between the utopian and the dystopian. While suggesting intimacy and monumentality, my approach reflects the paradigm the personal is the global. I believe that each one of us is a microcosm of the universe," says Romicon.

Romicon Revola has installed public sculptures and has held exhibitions in India and abroad. Her work can be seen across Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Mumbai at the World Trade Centre, Kochi, Hilton Hotel, the historic Cubbon Park, Beaumond, ISDO in Ahmedabad, Manyata Embassy Tech Park, among many other institutions. Her work is also seen in private collections in Amsterdam, Berlin, New York, London to name a few.

Aranyani is planning to extend its footprints globally and has hired US based Yenifer Lam. "Aranyani SS 2018 Love, Peace and Happiness Collection, promises to be an exquisite delight to the eye and the soul. If you are a lover of history and nature, this brand captures both. Haresh Mirpuri, CEO at Aranyani, shared his inspiration behind this collection and all I can say is: I'm in love! I wrote Santa a long list of the Aranyani handbags I want," Lam said at the announcement.

"Simply brilliant how this maven in the Fashion Industry, followed the history of the new silk route laid by the Cherry Blossoms, and translated it into a fabulous collection," added Lam. She brings with her 15 years of product development, supply chain & international business experience in the fashion industry.

The Collection is split in 3 deliveries, it is through each delivery that Aranyani takes us from Kyoto Japan, to China, to the North Eastern parts of India into Turkey. Each delivery displays the precious elements of history, location and nature, through its hand-painted art.

Each accessory is a canvas painted by Indian Artists, and only two pieces are crafted per city. If you are looking beyond fashion trends to express "Your Own" style, it is with an Aranyani handbag that you can display your essence and connection with the world.

Aranyani works closely with Arsutoria, the world's leading shoe and bag creation trainer and developer. Since 1947, Arsutoria has been in collaboration with companies such as Nine West, Timberland, Nike and LVMH.

The designs draw an inspiration from nature. The Autumn-Winter 2017 Collection drew its inspiration from the trails of the Himalayan ranges – from Nepal to Ladakh. While India has made its mark in the world of jewellery through its designs, bags as a category are still dominated by the international brands. The cost of most of these luxury brands is prohibitive and out of reach for even upper class Indians. Aranyani sees an opportunity in this segment by manufacturing in India and utilising the global expertise and latest technologies.

Aranyani has opened one store in VR Mall Surat and two stores in Bengaluru at Church Street and VR Bengaluru in Whitefield.
