"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world" – Nelson Mandela

India maybe on the brink of becoming an economic superpower in the global arena with its fast paced lead as the youngest nation with around 28 million youth population being added every year and more than 50 percent of its population is below the age of 25. However, with more than half of it India's youth residing in rural parts of the country, it may just get blindsided out of its lead position if it isn't able to address the critical issue of universal education urgently.

Learning Delight, a youth-led education technology start up, is committed to solving exactly this challenge for the nation, with its vision of digitizing rural schools in India. So, far, the startup has enabled digitization of over 10,000 schools since its inception in 2011, and today it announced yet another initiative to leapfrog the growth of digital education in rural India. Learning Delight has launched its 'Five Thousand School Campaign' with the intent of bringing about more public participation in its ambitious charter of digitizing rural schools in India.

Rolled out in the startups' home state of Gujarat, where it has already established a significant footprint, the campaign will appeal to people around the world to adopt a rural school and digitize it by donating INR 3,300 towards the cause. The donation will prompt Learning Delight to implement its software in the school of Gujarat and will allow its students to learn the state wide curriculum in a new and exciting digital format, albeit in their own regional language.

Learning Delight works in tandem with the government's "Sarva Shiksha Abhiyaan" charter to implement technology that is easy to use, access and understand across rural schools in the Gujarat state. The team of under 30 entrepreneurs started with 5 schools in 2011 and has transformed the way education is imparted and received in over 10,000 rural government schools spread over 13 districts of Gujarat.

Speaking on this occasion Mrs. Parinita Gohil, Co-Founder, Learning Delight, said, "We are very happy to see the kind of impact Learning Delight has created in the lives of the students and teachers in the rural schools of Gujarat. We hope this campaign will create a sense of inclusion and excitement among people who are passionate about doing good and making a lasting impact." Mr. Vandan Kamdar, Founder, added, "We do believe education is the starting point for building a great nation. And we want to infuse a sense of enthusiasm in young India and connect people around the world who are passionate about the cause, by giving them a chance to be active participants in India's transformation story. Even if one child benefits from this campaign, we will consider ourselves successful!"

Learning Delight begins from the bottom of the social pyramid, targeting the rural and semi-urban areas to address critical and real life issues faced by students and teachers in the country. The start up aims to make education a delightful experience by incorporating animation, riddles, puzzles and stories are aligned to support teacher and class interaction – based on state board curriculum making prescribed textbooks fun and easy. By threading the interest and keen presence of curious minds of children with innovative mentoring Learning Delight crafts a wholesome experience of true learning.

Mr. Kushal Gohil, Co-founder, said, "After the encouraging success we have seen in Gujarat, we are more excited than ever to touch the lives of students in Rajasthan next, where we are already in the process of digitizing the state board curriculum, in their native language. We are in talks with the government authority in Rajasthan and look forward to making the lives of students easier and more delightful there as well."
