TCM: What are the Major Milestones for the company since founding?
Abhishek: The journey which started in June 2015 has been a roller coaster ride thus far. The company has had its share of ups and downs and has enjoyed every bit of it. A few of the prominent events in the short history of company are as below:
- Opening our first out station office in Vadodara in September 2015. The company operated out of its Delhi office prior to that. Today the Vadodara office boasts of team strength of 17 people
- Reaching a milestone of 10 clients in November 2015
- Clocking a GMV of INR 1 crore per month in June 2016
- Signing the term sheet for our angel round in August 2016
TCM: Please share the Road Map & Future Plans of the company.
Abhishek: Kreate Konnect was formed with a vision to create numerous successful e-commerce entrepreneurs by providing them with the most advanced technology enabled ecosystem to sell their products. Five years from now we see Kreate Konnect as one of the most influential brands in the e-commerce space. We strongly believe that foundation of a successful e-commerce model is technology and thus we endeavor to create one of the most efficient technology and data backed ecosystem which would allow customers sitting at any corner of the world placing either wholesale or retail orders and getting them delivered to any warehouse or location around the world. The Spirits behind the success
Abhishek Jain (Co-founder & CEO)
The e-commerce bug had bit Abhishek in 2013 and stimulated him to start-up. Prior to starting Kreate Konnect, Abhishek had been a successful online seller and was instrumental in creating an online only women’s apparel brand and in a span of 1 year had scaled to a revenue figure of INR 10 lakhs per month. Abhishek had been a banker more precisely a wealth manager at HSBC and later at DBS.
Piyush Jaidev (Co-founder & COO)
Piyush has had a diverse background spanning across ‘Intellectual Property rights’ and ‘Social commerce/Group buying’ wherein he was a part of the founding team at a number of start-ups such as Taggle and Groopoffers. Previously, he had co-founded IOTA IP Partners’ an Intellectual Property Rights related Legal Processing Outsourcing firm specializing in providing off-shoring service to clients from around the world. Subsequently, he made a successful exit in May 2013.
